Thanks, for a successful 2005 Cousins' Party!!

Thanks to Suzy and Bob and all their helpers for a great Cousins' Party (again!). It was great to see long-lost cousins and all of the Reinhards, and Aunt Helen at 90 was especially stunning!

The food was great, the company better, and there's nothing like a rousing ol' water balloon fight once a year just to get it out of your system, eh?

Until next year, here's hoping for only good things....

Julian Luebben is Baptized...and Survived the Ordeal

This today from Vinzenz by email....

"Dear Sue, Dear Eric,

Julian was baptized on Saturday, July 30. He nearly drowned when the
priest spilled the holy water over Julian's head for the third time (in
the name of the Holy Spirit). The holy water flow down his forehead over
his eyes, his nose and his his mouth. Julian pulled his head away
immediately, but unfortunately he banged his head into the basin used
during the baptism. Fortunately he did not hurt himself; he did not even
start to cry. He seems to be a big guy.

2005 Hausfeld Family Reunion: Water Balloons and a special Aunt Helen tribute!

It's that time of year again...for brats, beers, whiffle-bat baseball and other backyard funnery at the 2005 Hausfeld Family Reunion.

Date: Sunday, August 15
Time: 1-6 p.m., with grub served up about 3 p.m.
Where: Suzy & Bob's in Xenia
What'll be provided: Brats and dogs, dessert, place settings and drinks.
What you need to bring: A side dish to share, and some lawn chairs to set yourselves down. And the camera, of course. And interesting family news and gossip.

Because Aunt Helen turns 90 this year, the Reinhards will join the merriment as well. If you haven't RSVP'd yet to Suzy and Bob, you're already a couple of days late, so let them know by picking up the phone or shooting them an email.

The water balloons are soaking as we speak in icy cold water.....
